CCC Use Two Or More Patterned Papers.

Good morning.  Gosh these two weeks do come round quickly.  Today Margaret (Gran Margaret) asked us to make a card using two or more patterned papers.  This was nice and easy to do because it is a digi paper and certainly has more than two patterns.  Also nice and flat for posting!

Recipe
6" square card base - Rymans
Digi paper - Can't remember where on line I found it
Stitched Snowflake Circle - Memory Box
Snowflakes - Docrafts Palm Punch
pearls from stash

I looked at the wrong date on the rota so my first card was actually for next time, so I had to quickly make another.  But at least I'm ready for the "other" Margaret's (aka Dutchess)  challenge well in advance .... lol!

On my blog yesterday I mentioned that my WI group had yarn bombed the village.  If you don't know what this is it is when you decorate trees, lamp posts, benches etc with knitted or crochet pieces.  We had such fun because we did it late at night when most folk were tucked up at home whilst we were climbing ladders and getting cold and wearing head torches!    We did wonder what kind of reaction we would get so were a little apprehensive. We shouldn't have worried.  It went down a storm!!  It is the talk of the village, and neighbouring ones too.  Everybody thinks it is fabulous and such fun.  One little girl is so excited and calls it the Easter bunny tree, So sweet.  We didn't label that it was our work but everybody was so curious that we did put up a label.  " Tysoe WI Pixies were very busy last night brightening up the village for Easter. What a mischievous bunch they are!"  Here is a pic of  the tree opposite the village shop to show you what we did. Others were spread around the village, including a bench on the green. We also put knitted bunting along the railings of the village hall and the primary school, along with pom poms.

Well I hope you are all well and have a good weekend.

Hi Christine Love your card and its traditional colours..
youve explained something to me know as when I was in town some months ago there was all this knitted stuff hanging from trees and other place and what a brilliant idea and as you say it brightens up the village..

Wonderful card Christine, it looks fab, all those lovely papers.
Last week when we were in Cartagena, there were ladies tying Lilac and Purple knitting and crochet around the columns in the square and wondered what it was about, xxx

So festive, and the dp looks like a shadow box. LOVE it! And the stitched circle with the fab tiny red snowflakes was just the perfect embellie to draw the eye inwards to enjoy that pretty paper. Love what you & your buddies did to decorate your town. Sounds like it would have been such a fun, giggling time, even if it was a bit chilly. I'm so glad the neighbors enjoyed it, and appreciated the effort ya'll did to make the community ready for Easter. Love it! TFS & Hugs
